Decided that I was going to do 2 things in this class. First I was going to use the Stampin up stamp set “Every Moment” I just love this stamp set and the ladies in my class love it too….. and the second thing was bleach.
This is the card that I made using Poppy Parade paper and ‘Every Moment” Stamp set with Staz on Black. I just loved the way this worked out. I put the bleach in my water brush and coloured in wohoo it was fun keeping within the lines.
The following cards were made by my wonderful girls in my class.
Sharon had made the two cards I was showing on another week but wanted Marion to try them so she ended up trying out the bleaching technique like the card I did above.
Here is sharon’s work:
Marian Made the following two cards that I made samples of to show her.
I made the following card for my upline and she got it about a week ago and I have been that slack in putting up online.
I take a photo of all my cards because to me cards are like little pieces of art and sometimes I really hate letting them go LOL.
Paper: River Rock, Whisper White, Early Espresso
Ink: River Rock, Stazon Black, Early Espresso, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist
Stamps: SU Morning cup, Take a Sip, Tiny Tags
Other: Jewelery Tag Punch
At my class on Saturday 18th it was suggested that we should take a photo of all our cards and put it up online.
I created a couple of examples and then showed the girls and then we had to make cards only using the 2 stamp sets and punches I had there. It was interesting as we wanted to see how many things we could come up in the time with stamp sets we usually use for only a couple of things and then go on to the next stamp set… so challenging it was.
I showed the girls the first card on the left at the top and the bottom and then showed them how to make them (so I made the left hand side ones while I was teaching them) then the middle cards I made when we had the free for all time with the stamps.
The card above is a close up because in the photo it doesn’t show that there is a circle on the bottom right corner and the owl is on the inside.
The cards below were made by Sharon… what lovely work. I love the way she tried to think out of the square for the owls and did a lovely piece and changed of the words to fit.
Below are Marion’s cards and she does so well and takes her time and has sooo much patience too.
We have so much fun on our card nights and I love the friendship and the crafting. Thanks ladies.
I know I have been missing in action for a while. But back now and will try to update at least once a week.
I was having a look see on the internet on Friday because the past week I have been worried about my mum going in to hospital and I saw this wonderful card bag where you can put all the birthday cards etc for he year in a handy places so you don’t forget. I found it here and want to thank Amy for showing it on her blog so I had something to do. I just loved doing this and I am already thinking of doing another one for my MIL.
Just Add Ink #5
Ok so I am usually a chicken with challenges so I am not going to be anymore, this is the first challenge for my stamp happy group.
I am constantly being asked to show the never ending card with pocket sillouttes at my classes and the girls love the stamp set.
So if you guys want to come and learn how to do it feel free to email me and come along for some fun. Every second Thursday night. We have a great bunch of ladies and are constantly laughing.
I enjoyed making this card. I saw a similar one online and for the life of me I cannot remember where so if it is yours thank you. I love this new stamp set it is fantastic. As you can see I have used it in the card below too he he he.
For the card above I decided to use the brayer on the card to make a marbled sort of card.
I used Whisper white and then took a whole lot of colours to blend it.
Will come back with the stamp names later.
My son said to me when I made the flower pot card that it would look good as a chimney with Santa coming out of it so I decided that I would try it out and so here is Santa coming out of the chimney. I know that the santa is not SU but I really enjoyed making this and the arms and legs move around. I showed this card at a card making class and they enjoyed it.
