Resist Embossing

July 21, 2009

I made this card at Julia’s place in the weekend for a friend because her mother died.  I loved the colours, they are sooo soothing and I am sure that my friend will appreciate it too.

Totally enjoyed making this card as it was stamped  using the Fresh Cuts Stampin’ Up! set and called resist embossing.  So easy to do and fun at that.

Sympathy Card

Went to Senz and had a ball of a time and spent way to much money and brought lots and lots of stamps and all sorts of things that make me sooooo giddy and happy he he he.

Made some more cards at Julias on the crafty weekend up there and will have to put some photos of them up tomorrow night when I get some time.  Or I might do it in the weekend as I have sooooooo many new goodies I need to make some cards with my goodies.  I might put them up on here… you will have to wait and see he he.

I think I need to get this stamp.  Borrowed the stamp from Julia to make this card as I didn’t think i woud use it but OMG I will be using it more when I buy it as it is a cool stamp.

Thanks for looking.  Please leave me a wonderful comment he he he.  I need all the encouragement I can get.

Mojo back again

July 7, 2009

Ok it has been a while but I am back with a couple of things.

My mojo has been overwelmed I think he he he.  I had so many things I wanted to make that I think my mind went ARGHHHH I don’t know where to start that I gave up.  But I made the following and I am pleased.

I love Stampin Up products but do feel like there are so many artists out there that do a fantastic job and I find it hard to live up to them.

Does anyone else feel like that?

It will come if you wait

June 14, 2009

I sent a card to a little boy in my son’s soccer team last week because he was so upset about letting some goals in and he was only 7 years old.  So my son and I each made a card and sent it.  Thinking it would brighten his day.

Went to their soccer game just went and the mother came up and gave me a HUGE hug and said that it brightened her son’s day and hers because she was worried he was going to leave soccer.

So after the game she came up to me and asked if I had hand drawn the stamp (as I had put her son’s name up the side of the stamp) and I said no I stamped it she said Wow we were looking at it and was amazed at the card.  Then my son said to her “my mum has a business making cards, invitations and has a sign on her  car” OMG I could have kissed him.  She asked me more and I said that I do party plans and teach people how to make cards etc and said “well if you want to come to my party in a couple of weeks you are welcome” She said no I want a party of my own.  I could have been blown away and said yes I would love to do that.

Wohoooo my theory of going with the flow and it will happen happened.

I am soooo happy that I am in SU.

I had fun doing this but they certainly aren’t the best that I wanted to do.  You know how sometimes your creative flow is really great and then some days you just know that you aren’t in the zone.  Today was not in the zone as far as I was concerned.

Have a great night.
